Hello friends! This is Angel, Founder & Producer of the Voices Love Music concert tour and Beautiful Wonder book and CD. First, I want to extend my winged~heart appreciation to Chase, my fellow survivor, humanity advocate and friend for giving me this opportunity to more personally share my voice as one of the “Creative Innovators Advocating A Global Difference." This Angel is most honored and humbled to be selected and in the company of others using their gifts and voices to help make this world a better place.
First and foremost, I am proud to share that I am a SURVIVOR… a survivor of DOMESTIC VIOLENCE and ABUSE - 16 yrs of all forms of extreme abuse (verbal, mental, emotional, sexual and physical)... but since my escape which was just over 1 ½ yrs ago, I have realized WHY I did SURVIVE… it is so I can hopefully help others... and that is WHY Voices Love Music and Beautiful Wonder exist.
“Every voice gets love from music." Just think about it a moment, it's true. Whether a child, woman, man or even an animal is crying out for help, music is always there to help soothe the soul... when perhaps nobody else or nothing else can. Music genuinely is the universal language.
The never~ending, ever~changing Voices Love Music concert tour and Beautiful Wonder book and CD will spread awareness and help heal the many hearts who need to find that beautiful wonder within and put an end to the pain of domestic violence and abuse. We are bringing together a variety of musical acts for a world-class music festival and will debut the concert theme song, “Beautiful Wonder” written by award winning song lyricist, Holly Steele, that won VH1’s Song of the Year Award in 2005. Both the concert and book will also raise funds in support of 8 different charitable organizations to include our lead beneficiary, the Nicole Brown Foundation.
In the words of my sweet Soul Sister, Holly, “Beautiful Wonder” is about finding your way, learning to gain the strength you need to acknowledge the abuse in your life and be strong enough to move on. It’s finding the natural survival and self protection qualities that we all have inside of us - knowing when enough is enough although it may take so long for many of us to get there - it's there.
"You'll wonder who I am" refers to the person who is abused visualizing being strong and no longer allowing the abuse. The abuser will no longer recognize the person he or she has been hurting because they now have the inner strength and self love to defend themselves and will no longer tolerate the abuse.
1VOICE:2GETHER, we will break the silence and cycle of violence for women, men, children, animals and all mankind! Now it begins........ Please join us! Share your voice! Let’s turn UP the volume in our united journey of humanity! |
